‘Chocolate Daddy’ EP is coming eight years since his last project ‘The Ghen Ghen Album’.

Orezi's new project is a welcomed surprise, since his last project, the world has transformed, musical genres have shifted, new talents have introduced fresh rhythms and sounds, and his once-youthful audience has grown up. Nevertheless, as the proverb goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

"Chocolate Daddy" fuses diverse music genres, transitioning from Reggae, Afrobeats, and Amapiano to Dancehall. The project showcases his ability to adapt to trends and reminds everyone of his skills and artistry.

Orezi, tells the story behind six (6) songs, providing a glimpse into the feelings, motivations, and human connections that breathed life into the EP.

His words, which are featured below, have been carefully adjusted to ensure clearer understanding.

FREAK YOU

I wrote"Freak You" during a moment of intense attraction. I met this very attractive woman in a Los Angeles club who left a lasting impression. The song was written to capture the allure of this woman.

MY QUEEN

This was me sweet-talking a pretty African woman that turned out to be my queen, saying how much I miss her and how much I will love to be with her. My Queen is just an easy-going love song of me idolizing a young, beautiful African woman and it features Daphne. Daphne is an extremely talented artist from Cameroon and she brought her A game to the song.

COLOMBIANA

For this song, I was inspired by the film "Colombiana" and a chance encounter with a Colombian woman in a strip club in Miami. I ended up becoming friends with the Colombian woman and she was the one who taught me some of the words I used in the song

ONE CALL AWAY

For this song, I was trying to get everyone to have a great time. I infused a unique twist into Amapiano by incorporating elements of RnB. "One Call Away" shows my willingness to be there for a special woman but with a playful note to the mix instead of the usual RnB sounds.

I SWEAR

It is a love song. If you know the regular words, ‘you'll say I love you I swear I like you die I swear’. That's how ‘I Swear’ came about, I use that word a lot. That one no mean say I dey lie to women o.

Everything is just me confessing my feelings to the girl I like.

START TO DEY DANCE

This track encourages people to get on their feet and dance as soon as the music starts. It's a feel-good tune I made and I am pretty sure that it will get people grooving to the song.
