TTC: What made you venture into music? Was it a one-time thing and how is the experience going for you?
MARSHALL: Music has always been my passion and it still is. The experience has been absolutely amazing, but I mean there have been great moments, good days, and not-so-good days but what’s important is I’m doing what I love.
TTC: Would you like to share the story behind KeyQaad, its establishment and the accomplishments so far?
MARSHALL: KeyQaad came to be as a result of the passion for music and most essentially the joy of watching talented artistes go from nothing to something. Established in 2017, Valo & I have been keen on impacting the culture positively one song at a time and we are grateful for all the achievements we’ve had ever since. More to come.
TTC: Kaestyle’s “My Dealer” featuring Omah Lay has 6.8m on-demand streams and is certified silver. The song has also spent 2 weeks in the Top 100 and 2 weeks in the Top 10 Charts. How did KeyQaad go about piecing the two artistes together and getting the best out of them?
MARSHALL: Interestingly, this isn’t their first record together and aside from that, they both work together on other records. KaeStyle & Omah Lay working together on this record was pretty much divine and we are glad the track is doing amazingly well and the fans love it. Shoutout to the KeyQaad team for all the work put in to make the record a success. We are just getting started.
TTC: What are your other plans? Are there any other music acts we should look toward seeing? Should we be looking forward to any new projects that are currently being worked on?
MARSHALL: To keep on putting out great projects with fantastic artistes. M3LON is another of our music acts you should also pay attention to and KaeStyle has an EP titled ‘Another Style’ scheduled to be out on Friday, June 14th. Great things are coming all round.
