Fireboy DML has solidified his status as a Nigerian music powerhouse, with his self-titled fourth album, adedamola, showcasing themes of gratitude, joy, and passion. Dropping in late August, the album debuted with 7.86 million streams in its first full week of release, and nine tracks landed on the Official Nigeria Top 100 within its first week.
Notably, "hell and back" surged up the charts following a viral clip of Fireboy DML listenng to his song in a Benz (other fans have since recreated this video by using other luxury cars) contributing to an impressive 101% stream increase. However, Fireboy DML’s remarkable talent is further emphasised with his previous project albums making it up the chart again all at once. Apart from ‘adedamola’ which is currently No. 6 on this week’s Official Top 100 Albums Chart, ‘Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps’, ‘Apollo’ and ‘Playboy’ are No. 62, No. 85, and No. 87 respectively.
His iconic albums continue to make waves, with past projects like Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps and Apollo rising back into the charts alongside adedamola. With Fireboy’s top track, “Bandana” (87 million on-demand streams since release), his legacy is clear, blending nostalgia with innovative, evolving artistry.
