Nigeria’s dynamic music scene continues its global expansion with the newly announced partnership between Nigerian record label Riju Music and U.S.-based gospel powerhouse TRIBL Records. The alliance, established in April 2025, marks a significant milestone in the cross-continental growth of faith-based music. The agreement was concluded during Tsamdu’s visit to Atlanta on May 14, 2025, where she met with TRIBL executives including Ray Ervin (A&R) and Ron Hill (President).
Founded in 2024 by Kyellu Tsamdu and working alongside Temple Egemasi and Israel Oreunomhe, Riju Music was created to support and promote independent artistes, particularly within the gospel and Christian music genres. What began in Yola has now expanded operations to Lagos, Abuja, and an international hub in London.
TRIBL Records, launched in 2020, is known for revolutionizing contemporary gospel music and is home to award-winning collective Maverick City Music, among other influential acts.
This strategic collaboration will see TRIBL providing catalogue servicing, artiste development, and strategic support for Riju Music’s gospel roster. This move is aimed at bridging the gap between African and global gospel audiences, creating new opportunities for Nigerian gospel artiste on international stages. As the Christian music community in Nigeria continues to flourish, this union sets the stage for a stronger global presence and cultural exchange through music.
