Goalgueta steps into the scene with a sound built on struggle, passion, and persistence. His journey hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has fueled his growth. Each record reflects his hunger and the drive to rise above whatever comes his way.

The name Goalgueta says it all, a true goal getter with a mindset rooted in focus and grit. That determination shapes both his music and his message, forming the core of who he is as an artist.

His sound blends Afrobeat, Afroworld, and soul in a way that feels effortless and true. Afrobeat connects him to his roots, Afroworld gives him freedom to explore, and soul carries the emotion behind his stories.

For Goalgueta, fame isn’t the mission, legacy is. In a world driven by quick trends, he aims to make music that lasts, music that speaks to people long after the moment passes. Being the one means setting his own path, staying true, and creating something that can’t be copied.

From late-night freestyles to bigger stages, his sound has grown with him. He still carries the same fire, only now with more purpose and clarity. Through it all, his goal remains to connect and uplift. His music is a reminder that no one is alone, that there’s strength and hope in every story.

Looking ahead, Goalgueta is focused on growth and reach. He wants his sound to travel, his stories to resonate, and his message to inspire. Beyond music, he’s building WishyWashyWorld, a podcast where he’ll share real experiences and connect with the people who’ve supported him from the start.

In an interview with TurnTable,Goalgueta talks about chasing trends or validation,  building a legacy that will last and more

Introduction & Origins

You describe your sound as rooted in struggle, passion, and resilience. What personal experiences shaped that foundation for you? I’ve been through situations that tested me mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually. Instead of letting them break me, I poured all that energy into my music. Every track is a reflection of that hunger, pain, and the passion to rise no matter what’s thrown my way.

The name “Goalgueta” already sounds intentional. What’s the story behind it, and how does it reflect who you are as an artiste? The name Goalgueta comes from “goal getter”, someone who goes after what they want no matter the obstacles. It’s more than just a name; it’s a mindset. I’ve always been the type to chase my dreams with everything I’ve got, whether it’s in life or music.

Artistry & Sound

You fuse Afrobeat, Afroworld, and soul. How did that blend come together naturally for you? It wasn’t something I forced, it’s just who I am. Afrobeat is in my blood, Afroworld gives me the freedom to explore, and soul carries my emotions. When I create, all those influences come out naturally because they represent different sides of me.

You said the goal isn’t fame, it’s legacy. What does legacy mean to you in today’s fast-moving music space? Legacy to me means creating something that lasts beyond the moment — music that still speaks to people years from now. In today’s fast-moving world, trends come and go quickly, but I want my sound and message to have real weight. It’s not just about being heard today; it’s about being remembered tomorrow.

Vision & Drive

You mentioned you’re not trying to be the best , you’re here to prove you’re the ONE. What does being “the ONE” look like for you? Being the ONE means I’m not following waves, I’m creating them. It’s about standing out, staying true, and building something bigger than myself. I’m not here to prove I’m better than anyone; I’m here to show that what I bring can’t be replicated.

If you could define the message behind your music in one sentence, what would it be? My message is about hope, growth, and resilience. No matter what happens, keep moving forward, see you later at the finish line.

Growth & Future

How has your sound evolved from those late-night freestyles to the stages you’re stepping on now? My sound has evolved with me. I still carry the same fire from those freestyle nights, but now I understand my direction more. Every stage I step on adds a new layer to who I am as an artiste.

What kind of impact do you want listeners to feel after hearing your music? I want my music to remind people they’re not alone. Whatever they’re going through, there’s strength, love, and hope in the sound. I want them to feel lifted.

Looking ahead, what’s the next milestone or goal you’re chasing — personally and musically? My next goal is all about growth, personally and musically. I’m still building, still learning, and staying grounded through it all. I want my sound to go global, reach more people, and tell real stories that hit home. And when things get good and interesting, I’ll be launching my WishyWashyWorld podcast — a space where I can talk real, share experiences, and connect deeper with the people who’ve been rocking with me from day one.
