Mr Eazi is entering a new era, the Maison Rouge era and it’s shaping up to be his most personal and emotional yet. With the release of “Violence,” the final single before his highly anticipated project drops on October 29th, Mr Eazi gives us one last glimpse into the world he’s been quietly building.

From Love to Chaos

It all began with “Love Me Now,” a tender letter to his beloved Mother that showed Mr Eazi in a more vulnerable light. Then came “Corny” and “Casanova,” where he leaned into the thrill, playfulness, and unpredictability of love that pushed and pulled between affection and ego.

Now, with “Violence,” he strips everything back to face the uncomfortable truth: love isn’t always easy. image_upload Toxic Love, Beautifully Told

Produced by P.Prime and Ekelly, “Violence” captures the tension of staying when love starts to hurt when silence speaks louder than words. It’s stripped down, haunting, and brutally honest.

The Ademola Falomo–directed video brings this to life in cinematic fashion, turning the walls of a quiet home into reflections of emotional chaos. Every frame feels heavy with what’s left unsaid.

Speaking about the song, Mr Eazi says:

“I wanted to explore the kind of violence that doesn’t leave bruises, the silence, the distance, the emotional cut-offs that happen when love turns cold. It’s the most honest song on the project for me.”

Inside the Maison Rouge World

Here’s a little inside gist , Maison Rouge  was recorded entirely in Cotonou, Benin, and has been ready for the world since 2023. Mr Eazi took his time with it, letting the project sit and breathe until the right moment came. That patience gives Maison Rouge its weight, you can feel every emotion lived and processed in real time.

With Maison Rouge, Mr Eazi blends music, storytelling, and visual art to explore love in all its forms, pure, playful, painful, and poisonous. “Violence” closes this emotional circle and sets the tone for what’s to come: a deeply human body of work from one of Africa’s most forward-thinking artists.
