Asake’s “Forgiveness” Lifts to No. 1 on the Nigeria Top 100, Sarz & BNXN’s “Back Outside” Rebounds to No. 3
_Chart rankings on the Official Nigeria Top 100 are based on a weighted formula incorporating audio and video streams within Nigeria, as well as airplay on radio in the country. It is the first and only standard music chart in Nigeria, providing comprehensive music activity including the official No. 1 song in Nigeria_
Asake’s “Forgiveness” tallied 5.51 million on-demand streams (No. 1 on streaming) and 47 million in radio airplay impressions (No. 9 on radio). As a result, it rises to No. 1 on this week’s Official Nigeria Top 100, replacing Asake’s own “Gratitude” which debuted at No. 1 last week. “Forgiveness” is the fourth No. 1 entry on the official singles chart off ‘M$NEY’ – tying Asake’s own ‘Work of Art’ and ‘Mr Money With The Vibe’ for the most No. 1 songs by any album in history.
“Forgiveness” is also Asake’s record-extending 18th No. 1 song on the official singles chart in Nigeria and his fourth of 2026. It sets a record for the fastest accumulation of four No. 1 singles in a year – with “Forgiveness” being his fourth after just five months.
