BNXN and Sarz’s “Back Outside” Refuses To Leave Our Rotations

When BNXN and Sarz announced their forthcoming project together, the world didn't know what to expect. We were yet to know that there's magic we've been missing by only having these two on just one project —”Pidgin & English”—but soon we got to know, to feel, to understand, and to experience it in all its glory. Not just another single but a whole pack, ‘The Game Needs Us’. “Back Outside” strutted in first and it was unlike ever imagined.

“Back Outside” was quickly accepted by all and peaked at No. 1, and even seven weeks after, “Back Outside” is now sitting at No. 4 on the Official Nigeria Top 100 chart with a total of  21 million on-demand streams and is Platinum-certified. “Back Outside” debuted at No. 27 before springing atop the chart and later dropping to No. 8 after Asake released his fourth project album, ‘M$NEY’, which did a clean sweep with 9 songs in the Top Ten axis of the Official Singles Chart (the highest ever recorded on chart history). The No. 8 dip ended and “Back Outside” moved to No. 3 in its fourth and fifth week. The sixth and seventh weeks had the song at No. 4 for two consecutive weeks.

The joint EP, ‘The Game Needs Us’, was released in the fourth week that “Back Outside” was released. ‘The Game Needs Us’ sold 4950 units (an equivalent of 7.42 million on-demand streams) in its debut week and debuted at No. 3 on the Official Top 100 Albums chart. ‘The Game Needs Us’ peaked at No. 2 in its second week and went on to spend three weeks on the Official Albums chart with a total of 25 million on-demand streams (approx. 18, 000 units sold) and is now certified Silver.

While the 5-track EP has “Already”, “Rum & Soda”, “Frank Sinatra”, and “Emotional High” that peaked at No. 17, No. 34, No. 51 and No. 56 respectively, the presence of “Back Outside” on social media platforms is in sync with the chart numbers and the most-listened-to track on the project. And even so, it is definitely going to be a contender for the top songs of the summer this year.
