Victony Scores First Top Ten Song as Lead Artiste Since 2024

Victony has earned his first Top Ten entry on the Official Nigeria Top 100 as a lead artiste since "Stubborn" in 2024. His latest single, "Fre$H," arrived at a new peak of No. 10, becoming his 12th career Top Ten entry on the chart.

Released in June 2024, "Stubborn" debuted at No. 3 and later peaked at No. 2, spending 24 weeks on the Official Nigeria Top 100. The record has since accumulated 31 million on-demand streams and 989 million radio impressions, earning a 2x Platinum certification.

Before "Fre$H," Victony's Top Ten catalogue as a lead included "Soweto" (No. 4), "OHEMA" (No. 5), "Everything" (No. 6), "Kolomental" (No. 10), "Jaga Jaga" (No. 10), and "Risk" (No. 10).

Although Victony returned to the upper reaches of the chart in 2025 through his feature on ODUMODUBLVCK's "PITY THIS BOY," which peaked at No. 2 and FOLA’s “golibe”, which peaked at No. 7, he had not recorded another Top Ten entry as a lead act until now. Likewise, despite the release of the 'Very Stubborn' deluxe EP, none of its tracks entered the Top Ten of the Official Nigeria Top 100 chart (only “Tanko” and “Skido” peaked at No. 15 and 16, respectively).

“Fre$H” initially debuted at No. 100 with only two days of tracking. One week later, it surged 90 places to No. 10, powered by 1.8 million on-demand streams and 24.75 million radio impressions.

Victony commences his return to the chart’s upper tier as a lead artiste with “Fre$H” and equally extends his record of delivering Top Ten entries across multiple phases of his career. Whether the single signals the beginning of another sustained chart run remains to be seen, but its quick rise suggests that Victony is once again gathering momentum.
