Victony’s “SLICK” Rockets to No. 1 on the Nigeria Top 100 in Its First Full Week, It is Victony’s First Official No. 1 Single in History
Chart rankings on the Official Nigeria Top 100 are based on a weighted formula incorporating audio and video streams within Nigeria, as well as airplay on radio in the country. It is the first and only standard music chart in Nigeria, providing comprehensive music activity including the official No. 1 song in Nigeria
Victony’s “SLICK” tallied 2.63 million on-demand streams (No. 2 on streaming) and 60.0002 million in radio reach (No. 5 on radio), jumping from its debut of No. 73 last week (partial week of tracking) to No. 1 in its first full week.
“SLICK” earns Victony his first No. 1 entry on the official singles chart in Nigeria and his 13th top ten entry on the chart. Victony was one of the few artistes with at least 10 top ten entries in Nigeria without a number-one single; together with Bella Shmurda (17), Tiwa Savage (12), and Zlatan (11).
Four Different No. 1 Singles in Each of the Last Four Weeks
There have been four different entries at number-one in each of the last four weeks on the Official Nigeria Top 100;
- Asake, “Forgiveness”; week of June 19 – 25, 2026
- Davido, “I Know Who I Be” with GL_Ceejay & JAZZWORLD; week of June 26 – July 2, 2026
- FOLA, “treat u right” with Ayra Starr; week of July 3 – 9, 2026
- Victony, “SLICK”; week of July 10 – 16, 2026
Interestingly, Young Jonn’s “Elumelu” ranked at No. 2 in three of those four weeks on the chart.
FOLA’s “treat u right” with Ayra Starr dips 1-2 in its second week after tallying 2.001 million on-demand streams (No. 4 on streaming) and 67.7 million in radio reach (No. 3 on radio).
Asake’s “Forgiveness” holds at No. 3 after topping the chart for three non-consecutive weeks while Davido’s former No. 1 “I Know Who I Be” with GL_Ceejay & JAZZWORLD is steady at No. 4 in its third week on the Top 100.
Asake’s former No. 1 “Gratitude” is unchanged at No. 5 for another week – it continues to lead the streaming chart with 2.75 million on-demand streams (seventh week at No. 1 on streaming).
BNXN & Sarz’s “Back Outside” rebounds 7-6 in its 13th week on the chart – the song led the Top 100 for one week.
Young Jonn’s “Elumelu” falls 2-7 in its seventh week on the Top 100. It spent three weeks in its No. 2 peak on the chart.
Rounding out this week’s top ten; Blaqbonez & Asake’s “CHANEL” slips 6-8 after leading the chart for four weeks, Asake’s “MCBH” rebounds 10-9 in its eleventh week on the Top 100 while Tiwa Savage’s “Energy” with Mavo & Wande Coal drops to No. 10 from its No. 8 peak. It leads radio chart for a third week with 95.6 million in radio reach.
Outside the Top Ten
- Ayra Starr’s “Tornado” drops to No. 11 in its fifth week.
- Victony’s “FRE$H” rebounds 13-12 after reaching a peak of No. 8.
- Wizkid & Asake’s “Jogodo” ranks at No. 19 in its 26th week on the chart. It is the odds-on favorite for Year-End No. 1 Song of 2026 and remains the longest No. 1 single of the year with 9 weeks atop the chart.
