Mayorkun’s ‘Betty Butter’ ft. Davido leads the first issue of TurnTable Top Streaming Chart with 2.24 equivalent streams.

He becomes the first act to lead the Top Streaming Chart with 'Betty Butter,' which also features Davido. Omah Lay records four entries in the top ten of the chart while Rema debuts with two entries in the top ten. Between them (Omah Lay and Rema), they occupy more than half of this week's top ten.

Let’s rundown the top ten of this week's Top Streaming Chart, which blends the weekly streaming numbers of songs on the three major freemium streaming platform in the country. The full chart dated July 14, 2020 was revealed yesterday.

TurnTable Top Streaming Chart employs a point per play value system for factoring streams from Audiomack, Boomplay and YouTube NG into the chart; full point per value is employed for Boomplay and YouTube NG streams, 4/5 point per value of total streams from Audiomack is used in the ranking of all songs by Nigerian artistes, and a tier-system point per value for songs by artistes from other African countries.

Betty Butter

‘Betty Butter’ is the No. 1 song on the first issue of Top Streaming Chart. It ended the tracking week with 2.24 million equivalent streams with the bulk of the streams coming from Audiomack. The song leads YouTube NG with 275,000 views and Audiomack during the tracking week, as well as finishing at No. 5 on Boomplay NG with 199,000 streams during the tracking week.

Omah Lay’s ‘Bad Influence’ debuts at No. 2 with 1.55 million equivalent streams. The songs leads Boomplay NG during the tracking week and ended the tracking week at No. 2 on Audiomack. Rema’s ‘Woman’ enters at No. 3 with 1.31 million equivalent streams. ‘Woman’ is not available on Boomplay; as such only streams from Audiomack and YouTube NG are factored for its ranking.

Naira Marley’s ‘As E Dey Go’ and Omah Lay’s ‘You’ complete the top five with 1.19 million and 1.07 million equivalent streams respectively. ‘You’ is Omah Lay’s second entry in the top five in the first issue of TurnTable Top Streaming Chart. Rema’s ‘Ginger Me’ occupies No. 6 on the chart with 1.01 million equivalent streams. It is the sixth song to record more than 1 million equivalent streams during the tracking week. Like ‘Woman,’ this is not also available on Boomplay.

Burna Boy’s ‘Wonderful’ enters at No. 7 with 989,000 equivalent streams while two songs from Omah Lay sit at No. 8 and No. 9; ‘Damn’ with 925,000 equivalent streams and ‘Lo Lo’ with 832,000 equivalent streams.

Lo Lo

Omah Lay debuts four songs in the top ten of the chart as well as three other songs in the top 50; ‘Ye Ye Ye’ at No. 13, ‘Do Not Disturb’ at No. 35 and ‘Hello Brother’ at No. 39. Only Kizz Daniel has more entries on the chart this week; 8.

Rounding out the top ten is Kizz Daniel’s ‘Ada’ with 788,000 equivalent streams. ‘Ada’ is the highest charting song on Kizz Daniel’s King of Love, which has seven other songs outside the top ten.
