Chart rankings on the Official Nigeria Top 100 are based on weighted formula incorporating audio and video streams within Nigeria, as well as airplay on radio and satellite TV in the country. It is the first and only standard music chart in Nigeria, providing comprehensive music activity including the official No. 1 song in Nigeria

“Soso” debuted on the Official Nigeria Top 100 during the chart week of July 15 – 21, 2022 as part of eleven songs off Omah Lay’s Boy Alone that filled the chart that week. It debuted at No. 51 on the Top 100.

The song moved to No. 31 on the next Top 100 (early sign that it was one of the fan favorite singles off the album) and it hovered in several positions outside the top 20 for the next eighteen weeks.

It peaked at No. 20 on the chart week of December 2 – 8, 2020 before rocketing into the top ten by jumping eleven places to No. 9. This week, it holds at No. 6 for a second consecutive week, becoming the fourth top ten entry off Boy Alone.   

The song is produced by Tempoe (No. 1 Producer of 2021 in Nigeria).
