“FEM” did not debut on this week's Apple Music Top Songs weekly chart.

“FEM” by Davido Worldwide Entertainment/RCA/Sony Music was released at 5pm, Thursday, September 10 making it eligible for this week’s chart dated September 15.

While the accumulated streams within the 7 hours of release may have been enough to shoot the song to top of Apple Music NG real-time daily chart, it wasn't be enough to debut on the weekly chart which combines streams over a 7-day Friday to Thursday period.

“FEM” would have to wait for another week to get its debut. This applies to other weekly published by TurnTable Charts – especially Top Streaming Chart (which combines Audiomack, Boomplay and YouTube NG) and Top Airplay Chart (a ranking of top songs on radio across Nigeria).

FEM

For the Top Airplay Chart, “FEM” got a decent amount of spins across Nigeria within the eight hours it was available for tracking, this was enough to be in the list of top 500 songs on radio during the tracking week (Friday, September 4 to Thursday, September 10) – it starts at No. 356. This is why you won’t see the song on this week’s Top Airplay Chart, which only lists the top 50 songs of every week.

For the Top Streaming Chart, a weekly chart that combines Audiomack, Boomplay and YouTube NG, “FEM” was eligible for a debut due to its availability on YouTube and Boomplay within a 5-hour period and 7-hour period respectively (the song wasn’t available on Audiomack during the tracking period). The song recorded 23,000 streams on Boomplay and another 176,000 views on YouTube on Thursday evening but this wasn't enough to debut on the chart this week; for context, the No. 50 song on the chart, Kizz Daniel's "Boys Are Bad" had 267,000 equivalent streams.

FEM

The official video has been viewed over 5 million times at the time of compiling this report and "FEM" is projected to have gotten over 500,000 views from Nigeria alone which should be comfortably put the song at No. 1 on YouTube NG next week; TurnTable Charts only factor in weekly views from Nigeria on YouTube into Top Streaming Chart. The geo-data will be available by Sunday morning.

“FEM” wasn't on the list of top 500 songs on TV during the tracking week. But the artiste won’t be bothered by that as he appeared on the list 16 times – the highest of any artiste during the tracking week.

For Top Triller Nigeria Chart, the data for next week’s chart were compiled a few hours after the release of “FEM” – this is why it couldn't debut on that chart either.

Likewise, Davido’s “FEM” didn't debut on Digital Song Sales Chart (which combines weekly downloads on iTunes) and Top Shazam Songs weekly chart.

All next week’s weekly charts published by TurnTable Charts will be revealed from Sunday, September 20 to Tuesday, September 22 – here is a breakdown of weekly schedule;
