All the major chart movements and debuts this week
Patoranking’s “Abule,” released under Amari Musiq/EMPIRE, moves 2-1 on the Top Airplay Chart, becoming the sixth No. 1 in the chart history. The song replaced Darey’s “Jah Guide Me” at the summit of the chart dated September 7.
TurnTable Top Airplay Chart is a weekly chart of the most popular songs across radio stations in Nigeria using a methodology that combines data provided by Radiomonitor and tier-based audience measurement. The first issue of the chart was revealed on July 9, 2020.

“Abule” is the lead single off Patoranking’s new album, THREE, released on August 28.
Biggest Drops on the Chart
Away from “Abule,” there is a lot of movements and a few debuts on the chart. The biggest being the massive fall of Darey’s “Jah Guide Me” from No. 1 to No. 47, making it the biggest fall in TurnTable Top Airplay Chart history (or any TurnTable weekly chart).

Rema's "Woman"
Rema’s “Woman” has spent eight consecutive weeks in the top 3 of Top Airplay Chart; the closest song with such longevity in the upper echelons of the chart is Mayorkun’s “Betty Butter” with 5 weeks within top 3.
The song debuted at No. 8 on the chart dated July 13 and it has spent the following 8 weeks within the top 3 of the chart.

According to data from Radiomonitor, “Woman” is No. 20 on radio in Nigeria based on the number of spins across radio stations alone.
This is even more remarkable considering the song has only been released for 9 weeks – it is the one of the two songs with less than ten weeks of airplay in the top 50 of 2020; the other being Mayorkun’s “Betty Butter” featuring Davido at No. 28 (also 9 weeks of airplay).
Debuts
Fireboy DML’s “Champion” featuring D. Smoke is the biggest debut on the chart at No. 19; Miley Cyrus’s “Midnight Sky’ debuts at No. 36; Lotto Boyz’s “Miss Jagger” featuring Kamille at No. 44; and Victor A.D’s “Prayer Request” featuring Patoranking at No. 48.
“Champion” is Fireboy DML’s seventh entry on Top Airplay Chart, the second highest of any artiste – only Burna Boy has more entries on the chart (8).
Other Chart Movements
Olakira’s “In My Maserati” moves to a new peak of No. 4 on the chart; Burna Boy records six entries in a week for the second consecutive week with all the songs charting in the top 30, “Way Too Big” at No. 10 is the highest and “Wonderful” at No. 29 is his lowest charting song.
Drake becomes the first lead non-Nigerian artiste to record a top 10 song without a Nigerian feature with “Laugh Now Cry Later” featuring Lil Durk moving twelve positions to No. 8. Master KG and Sam Smith have visited the region but both artistes had Burna Boy on their respective songs – “Jerusalema (Remix) peaked at No. 2 while “My Oasis” debuted and peaked at No. 9.
