Seyi Vibez's New Album Debuts at No. 2 on This Week's Albums Chart Despite Arriving on the Final Day of Tracking

Chart rankings on the Official Top 50 Albums Chart are based on a weighted formula incorporating audio and video streams within Nigeria. It is the first and only standard music chart in Nigeria, providing comprehensive album consumption including the official No. 1 album in Nigeria

**‘**Timeless’ logs a milestone 10th week at No. 1 on the Official Top 50 Albums Chart in Nigeria. Davido’s fourth studio album debuted on the chart during the week of March 31 - April 6, and has remained atop the chart in every week that has followed. It extends its record as the only album to spend its first ten weeks at No. 1 on the albums chart in Nigeria. The album moved 9.4 million on-demand streams during the last tracking week of June 2 - 8, 2023 (the equivalent of 6,270 album units in the country). 

Seyi Vibez’s marauding run of 2023 continues with his latest album titled ‘Vibes Till Thy Kingdom Come” which debuts at No. 2 on this week’s chart despite only being available for a few hours on the final day during the tracking week. It is important to note that the album had two previously released singles that contributed to its huge debut. It moved 4,240 album units in its debut week. 

Another album by Seyi Vibez follows at No. 3 in form of the 14-week No. 1 ‘Billion Dollar Baby 2.0’ The album made history when it set the record for the longest stay at No. 1 on the albums chart earlier this year. It saw an increase in activity during the last tracking week due to the release of a new album from the artiste. 

Rema’s ‘Rave & Roses (Ultra)’ slips 3-4 while Joeboy’s ‘Body & Soul’ drops 2-5. Asake’s debut album ‘Mr Money With The Vibe’ is steady at No. 6 while Omah Lay’s ‘Boy Alone’ falls to No. 7 - its lowest position (and unit in a week) since the week of December 23 - 29 2022. 

Rounding out this week’s top ten; Zinoleesky’s ‘Grit & Lust’ moves up one rung to No. 8 while Burna Boy’s ‘Love. Damini’ slips to No. 9. Central Cee & Dave’s surprise 4-track EP Split Decision debuts at N0. 10. The EP tallied 1.41 million on-demand streams, the equivalent of 942 album units during the week of June 2 - 8, 2023. 

Other debuts on this week’s chart includes Metro Boomin’s star-studded Spider-Verse soundtrack which debuts at No. 11 while Bad Boy Timz’s debut album ‘No Bad Boy, No Party’ debuts outside the top 20.
