Asake’s “Lonely At The Top” Spends a Seventh Week at No. 1, Olamide Has Multiple Entries in the Top Ten

Chart rankings on the Official Nigeria Top 100 are based on a weighted formula incorporating audio and video streams within Nigeria, as well as airplay on radio and satellite TV in the country. It is the first and only standard music chart in Nigeria, providing comprehensive music activity including the official No. 1 song in Nigeria

“Lonely At The Top” tallied 3.95 million on-demand streams (No. 1 on streaming, seventh week at No. 1 on streaming) and 96.2 million in radio reach (No. 1 on radio for six weeks). It becomes Asake’s longest No. 1 single ever by equalling the seven non-consecutive weeks of “Bandana” at No. 1 on the Official Nigeria Top 100.

“Lonely At the Top” also becomes the longest No. 1 song released under EMPIRE/YBNL Nation (matching the aforementioned “Bandana” by Fireboy DML as well as other EMPIRE No. 1 songs “Lie” and “Buga” by Kizz Daniel).

Burna Boy’s “Big 7” returns to its No. 2 peak of the Top 100 ahead of the release of the artiste’s seventh studio album ‘I Told Them.’

Khaid’s “Anabella” falls 2-3 while Omah Lay’s former three-week No. 1 “Reason” dips 3-4. Olamide’s “Jinja” is steady at No. 5.

Shallipopi’s “Obapluto” rebounds to its peak of No. 6 on the Top 100. Adekunle Gold’s “Ogaranya” falls 6-7 while Falz’s “Ndi Ike” featuring Odumodublvck & Flavour reaches new height of No. 8 on the Top 100.

It is Falz’s first top ten entry on the chart, Flavour’s second and Odumodublvck’s fourth top ten entry. Additionally, it also marks the first top ten entry in Nigeria featuring multiple rappers (Falz and Odumodublvck).

King Promise’s “Terminator” holds at No. 9 for another week while Olamide’s “Gaza” rises to a new peak of No. 10 on the Top 100. The song tallied 1.7 million on-demand streams (No. 5 on streaming) and 27 million in radio reach (No. 26 on radio).

It is Olamide’s thirteenth top ten entry in Nigeria and the third off ‘Unruly.” As a result, the album equals ‘Carpe Diem’ for the rapper’s personal best in terms of most top ten entries off an album.

Just outside the top ten, Davido’s “UNAVAILABLE” with Musa Keys rebounds to No. 11 following the release of the remix featuring American rapper, Latto. Latto is not credited on the entry as the version does not account for the majority of chart points in Nigeria this week.
