Asake’s “Forgiveness” Spends a Second Week at No. 1 on the Nigeria Top 100, Dj Tunez & Wizkid’s “STATE OF MIND” Debuts at No. 8

Chart rankings on the Official Nigeria Top 100 are based on a weighted formula incorporating audio and video streams within Nigeria, as well as airplay on radio in the country. It is the first and only standard music chart in Nigeria, providing comprehensive music activity including the official No. 1 song in Nigeria

Asake’s “Forgiveness” tallied 4.51 million on-demand streams (No. 1 on streaming for a second week) and 47.9 million in radio reach (No. 4 on radio). As a result, it keeps atop the official singles chart for a second consecutive week.

Asake’s former No. 1 “Gratitude” holds at No. 2 for another week after drawing 4.23 million on-demand streams (No. 2 on streaming) and 38.8 million in radio reach (No. 8 on radio). It debuted at No. 1 two weeks ago.

BNXN & Sarz’s “Back Outside” is steady at No. 3 after tallying 54.9 million in radio reach (No. 1 on radio for a second week) and 3.39 million on-demand streams (No. 3 on streaming). The song previously topped the Top 100 for a single week.

Asake & DJ Snake’s “WORSHIP” is unchanged at No. 4 for another week – the song spent five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Top 100, becoming the longest No. 1 hit off ‘M$NEY.’

Asake’s “MCBH” remains at No. 5 after debuting and peaking at No. 4 while Asake’s “Wa” climbs 7-6. It enters a new peak in its third week on the Official Nigeria Top 100.

Kidd Carder & Mavo’s “Big Bum Bum” returns to the top ten at No. 7, climbing from No. 11 last week. The song has peaked at No. 2 so far on the singles chart in Nigeria.

DJ Tunez & Wizkid’s “STATE OF MIND” launches at No. 8 with 2.069 million on-demand streams (No. 9 on streaming) and 11.1 million in radio reach (No. 60 on radio). It is DJ Tunez & Wizkid’s fourth collaboration in the last 12 months to reach top ten on the official singles chart; joining “One Condition” (peaked at No. 4), “MONEY CONSTANT” (peaked at No. 3) and “EASY WITH ME” (peaked at No. 9).

Rounding out this week’s top ten; Asake’s “Rora” drops 6-9 after debuting at No. 5 two weeks ago. It is one of Asake’s six entries on this week’s top ten.

Omah Lay’s “I AM” hangs on in the top ten for another week at No. 10. It has spent seven weeks on the Top 100 and peaked at No. 2 so far.

Outside the Top Ten

  • Blaqbonez’s “CHANEL” with Asake is aiming for a No. 1 debut on the Top 100 next week. It would become Blaqbonez’s first official No. 1 single in Nigeria and Asake’s record extending 19th No. 1 entry.
  • BNXN & Sarz’s “Already” moves to a new peak of No. 17 in its first full week of release.

  • Burna Boy & Shakira’s “Dai Dai” debuts at No. 42.
